Hi all.
I have recently bought a oxy acetylene kit, but I'm going to use propane.
I have the regulators, flash arrestors and I have bought new hose for propane as the acetylene hose is no good for propane.
So all good.
the kit I bought (2nd hand) came with 2 torches, but I just can't figure it out.. I don't think it matches? the case with all the tips was something the guy threw in as I was leaving his place.
I'm mainly using it to bend 18mm solid steel bar. and likely heat up stuck nuts, bolts, general heating up thin sheet metal.
The red torch is what I believe the one to heat up?
with the bigger nozzle?
but.. is looking a bit worn on these rubbers here?
Cant find where I can get a replacement... if this is the correct tip, which I dont think it is? i need something that gives a bit more precision on the area to be heated?
then I think I figured out how to get the other tips on the, what I think is the cutting torch?
just looks really odd..?
I think I need propane tips don't I? these tips I have are no good?
I read so much conflicting information that I just thought was better to ask before I even go anywhere near opening that oxy bottle regulator.
I know that to ignite is propane on, oxy on
to switch off is oxy off, propane off.
but even that I read conflicting information!
what a mine field!
