,What's your roof made of? Just looks like cladding from the pictures.
My question being, can the roof take the weight of the winch and load?
Good question

you would have bloody kittens popping out your **** if you seen my and many others folks shed/workshops then. The key thing is health and safety at WORK act
Things can go wrong at HOME too
I’ve seen more sheds than you can shake a stick atyou would have bloody kittens popping out your **** if you seen my and many others folks shed/workshops then.
i get safety but if i use proper section steel and fittings and gear then it will be safe....?
If folk go by H&S all there lives nothing much would get done at all, but then this is the snow flake numb society it has made it. I use common sense. research etc etc. still alive after near 50 years and still got all my bits n bobs.
My biggest concern is those all anchors,I can just see the mortar giving way and the bricks come down with the steel,I suggest 2 posts floor to ceiling, stout enough to resist the bending moments, something like 127/76;13 u/beam,baseplates to ground anchors like thunderbolts.
can add a beam/gusset, will bring the deflection down to near zero. Not stiff enough,if you want to use box,it’s got more torsional rigidity than U/B,then I’d suggest minimum 100/50/4.
