Well fed up of tripping over steel that is to long to fit in the 2m rack i have so i have done this racking which will lift and lower the steel beams/ sheets etc i have in stock which is around 5,5m.
I very much doubt ill have more than 250kg up there. so specs is its made from 40 x 40 x 2.5mm
I will be adding a cross beam from wall to above door beam, this will have the winch fitted to it, or thereabouts. this will be either a single 40x40c2,5, or doubled up which i will likely to do actually.
Now wat i am, wondering is the winch, i dont want an electric one as the faff in wiring and battery etc etc
So hand winch. but problem is the handle. i will not have the room for one to filly rotate.
So idea is to get hand winch and use my Dewalt impact wrench to turn the shaft. it as 205nm or torq.
You reckon that will turn the winch enough to lift max 250kg.
Ill sit back now and wait for the H&S and your an idiot comments lol
