Funnily enough, that is what I was thinking about doingStick them on ebay with 'Myford' in the description and some misty-eyed old duffer will pay over the odds for them.

yep same here just use carbide on hard stuff hss sharpened properly will do 99 percent of cutting with a good finish. a lot of home workshops only used insert tools probs because they cant sharpen stuff properly or cant be botheredI still use mine and HSS bits too probably more than I use inserts.
I welded vacuum take offs in the back of my grinding wheel covers and have a water tray under the wheel. Just plug the vac hose onto the take off and that and the water tray catch all the dust.I can grind my hss tools, but use carbide inserts most of the times because I don't like the grinding dust that gets everywhere.
I have several J&S tool holders like that and use them very frequently. They are good but don't fetch much on eBay.Is there any market for these things now, given most hobbyists are likely using insert tooling?
While tidying up, I've came across right and left 1/4" holders, a straight 7/16" holder, and a threading holder.
I'm not even sure where they came from, and I might just stick them on eBay as job lot.
