Hi,
obtained an old 140 mono from a retired gentleman whom was very reluctant to part with it. Unfortunately the hose had a nasty kink in it (during storage) which had creased the 'internal' pipe/sleeve and prevented the wire feeding through.
The gas feed is from an internal solenoid valve and was routed into the hose but was only 15 cms long ?? The outer hose (containing the liner and braided earth wire ) had been slightly 'butchered' at both ends and had been taped over.
I had thought that I would need to attach a new pipe to the solenoid and feed it though the larger pipe (alongside the liner etc) to the torch. There is no connection at the torch end for a gas pipe ....I can only assume that the larger 'pipe' containing the liner etc was originally 'gas tight' at either end....and was used to direct the gas to the torch ......does anyone know ?
The torch etc, is in good working order so do not feel the need to replace either with an original or a Euro Torch.
I have cut the length down, so as to remove the 'creased liner' ( when I say liner, it is in fact a pipe running through the braided earth wire which is not 'sheathed' and the liner is fitted inside this pipe) and I am certain I would not be able to make 'gas tight' seals at either end ....unless you know something I don't ........which is quite likely
Any help, suggestions will be gratefully received, thank you
