Not sure if it is applicable in your case but my boiler (basic type with Riello RDB burner) was locking out once it was hot tried the obvious photocell, solenoid, motor capacitor control box all to no avail eventually after some research replaced the drive coupling between the motor and the pump has worked almost faultlessly since 2 lockouts I think.
i do hope the engineer put your old parts back in again
as if they didnt you might have this bill that bill for parts that wasnt needed in the first place
part of reason why i hate that digital test it sends you through everything to replace before you find out the problem and fix it which of coarse wasnt the extras it demanded in the first place

I did a few installs years ago but someone else commissioned, need to do vapour as well, lots of my customers have Aga’s
