I thought I was all set up and ready to go, I have lots of dry air, big cabinet and just connected a wood chip extactor.
A lot of my media is disappearing! Just checked the bag and it has a bit too much media for my liking. Anyone else have this? I have some fine mesh I can fit, it still lets a bit of media through, going to try finer, just need to get some samples from the shop to choose a size.
The deadman valve is awkward in the cabinet and after doing one drum brake is worn out, the 3.5mm nozzle is now 5.5mm. Time to switch to tungsten and get that blast pot valve nearer to the cabinet so I can reach with one hand and switch off the pot.
The hose from the pressure pot is pretty stiff. I'm sure when I used the cabinet at my fabricators workshop his hose was nice and flexible.
The F60 grade media, alu oxide, that I was sold is unnecessarily fine. £30 down the drain, it's too fine and half of it went up the extractor anyway!
The spigot/flange whatever you call it, for the extractor is 60mm ID, 68mm OD. The woodchip extractor is 100mm. I ordered a reducer, but maybe better to fit a 100mm spigot. Anyone suggest what to use or where to get a spigot?
