Hi guys, I'm new to this forum and a new welder, I recently bought my first welder which is a Sealey MightyMig150, relatively cheap welder but figured it should be ok for what I need.
I have it set up with 0.6mm wire and a Co2/Argon mix gas.
Basically I am struggling to get my settings right and the welder came with no chart to recommend settings for different thicknesses.
I bought the welder as I want to do car body rust repairs of about 0.8-1.0 thickness sheet metal which will mostly be butt welds and plug welds, I have managed some ok butt welds but when it comes to plug welding it seems asif I cant fill the hole with weld fast enough? I don't know if its my technique or the welder setup is wrong?
The welder has 4 power settings and the wire speed goes from around 1-12 I think..
Any help would be great, thanks!
