Hi All,
So, after a few weeks of thinking it over, I've decided to try to learn how to weld. I have a car project that needs a bit of welding done, and I thought I'd try to learn it and do it myself rather than pay someone a lot of money to do it.
I have no experience in welding so I'm a total novice. I'll need the welder for patching up footwells and welding in arches. Approximately 3-4mm thick.
What I want to achieve is (obviously after practicing), is nice strong clean welds with minimal mess.
What I want out of the welder is the following,
> Easy to use and setup
> Ideally portable
> OK for outdoor use
> Standard 3 pin plug
> Gas or Gassless? (Not sure any recommendations?)
Ideally I don't want to spend more than £500 (including the safety equipment).
Any advice on specific models would be appreciated.
Thanks
