New to this forum so first post, actually I'm new to welding for that matter.
I recently purchased a Tig/Arc welder

I just purchased this for constructing a prototype I will be making from mild steel. I intend on welding stainless steel at a later date so that's my reason for going for a TIG welder instead of a MIG welder. You can also Arc/Stick weld with this welder.
Yep I know its jumping in at the deep end to start off with a TIG welder but cant buy both a TIG and MIG so had to go for one of them.
First surprise was I foolishly expected this thing to come with a regular plug and simply plug into a socket. I looked at the instruction manual and it says it requires 21 amps!
I'm guessing I am going to have to wire this thing directly into the garage fuse box??
Finding gas is the next problem, I live in North West London and need to find an Argon gas supplier near me. I probably wont use this much so not looking to pay monthly fees so BOC is out of the question. Anyone in my area here found a good deal?
I will also post a request for gas info in the Gas section of this forum.
Thanks in advance for any help!
