Hi everyone
I need a new torch, and am at a bit of a loss as to what to buy.
I use to go or the Tweco No3, but they are expensive.
I have a 330 amp welder, I mainly weld 6 to 8 mm angle and sometimes
12 mm plate, 90% of time on the 6 to 8 mm.
This leaves this 250 amp torch a little light, http://www.parweld.co.uk/product/pro-grip-max-sb-250a-air-cooled-torch/ the next size up is heavier than my second option below.
My other option is a a heavier Binzel, http://www.wellyweld.com/products/Binzel-Evo-Pro-36-4m-Mig-Torch-73584.aspx
My main concern with the Binzel is I have not used or even seen this particular item and
I have no way of knowing how big heavy or bulky it may be.
It is a 300 amp @ 60% with CO2, and 290 amp mixed which should make it fit for my jobs.
Which would you all go for, to weld 6 mm 70% of time, 8 mm 20% of the time and
12 mm the other 10% all mild steel.
Thanks in advance, paul
