Hi, just got round to using the Clarke 160 I bought from weldequip back before the summer ...
Have welded a bracket on my fastback - see the pics ...
The weld looks terrible ... the machine has been fine but the welds I've done so far don't seem to 'flow' if you get me. Can't get the sizzling sound going - more an on-off spurt-spurt type of noise. It almost sounds as if I have it on a stitch setting which of course the 160 doesn't have ...
The weld is after I've wire brushed it clean.
I'm using Argonshield from BOC - the machine on the first notch (1) on the MIN setting and 0.6 wire.
Any help anyone please?
