hi all,
this is my first one, so no laughing. I made this using a sip migmate 105. I've done most of the physical mods to the welder as recomended on this site, but not the new transformer and relay one yet. Its a crap welder to be sure, some days it works perfectly, other days it really does seem crap for no apparent reason, most annoying.
So, here's the stove, still lots to do, I'll fit an inner sill on the door and some fire rope to seal it better and I've not fitted the slider behind the holes yet to adjust it. I've had a go with it, it burns really well, flames out the top of the chimney, and when shut down it simmers nicely for hours. I would have painted it today but the post collection place has my paint from ebay and closed at 11am grrrrr.
The chimney is made from an old pub CO2 bottle, its about 8mm wall thickness, a bit heavy but ok...it won't blow away. The handles on the sides are made from the ends off a disposable gas bottle (I've now got a 200bar 10L bottle).
I've since acquired 10 chimneys of a better gauge. 600mm long, 4.5" diameter and a 4mm wall thickness. One is shown I hope. (If anyone wants one pm me and we can do a deal I'm sure...I had to buy bulk)
cheers
Graham
