Recently bought myself a Defender 90 and as many of you may know they fall victim to the rusty curse so I feel like owning and learning to weld may save me some money in the future.
I've got a reasonable budget, nothing set in stone but around £3-400 for the full set up.
Couple of questions, is it ok to buy a rent free cylinder from someone other than the supplier i.e. if it comes with the welder, will the company still refill it?
Considering I won't be welding day in day out, would a Euro Torch benefit me? Or would a decent Clarke type machine be adequate for my use?
I'll mainly be building small projects (tools for my work etc) and welding body work and chassis (if I trust myself) on the Landy
