Managed to pick up a Myford ML7 lathe this week from the guy who we get workshop space from.
Had my eye on it for a few months now and finally had the funds to purchase it.
It comes complete with the Myford cabinet for it. Paintwork is a bit shabby, but going by the serial number its a 1953 model!
I've started stripping it down, as seen above, and cleaning all the old oil, dirt, swarf off it. No major play in any of the slides. I need to rewire the motor as the old cable has been chewed by mice.
Unfortunately there is no tooling with it, apart from the 3 jaw chuck fitted.
I hope to have the motor wired up and its first test run next week sometime.
Really looking forward to using it once I have rebuilt it, as I've not used a lathe since High school.
