So the problem is rough idiling on the golf mrk 4 1.8T petrol 150bhp and stuttery running. This has occoured various times and the past few its been down to vacuum leaks and now the valve and all the vacuum pipes have been replaced i believe at least all the ones between the manifold, T peice, y peice and throttle body. At the time this had solved the problem and you could hear a deffinate vacuum leak. The problem has now come back, there being no vacuum leak noise now and thinking since they were all mix of ages and manufactures i have replaced all the coil packs as they are another common source of this problem apparently. But it is still persisting is there another vacuum line i dont know about or is the altenator on the way out, petrol engines arent my strongest suit as you may have guessed by now. The battery warning/charge light has come on ounce or twice and the cars cut out recently when the cars been driven through large puddles slowly in a particularly wet inverness could this have any relation to the problem.
