Hi There, From a new member and first time poster
I've been using a Clarke 135 Mig welder (ebay purchase) for around 5 years. It's been a great asset, reliable and easy to learn to use. It helped me complete some nice DIY projects, including a trike build back in 2005. I upgraded to bulk feed Argolite straight away, having heard it was the better option. I am self taught but my MIG welding can't be too bad. I'm still using the trike and the back end's not fallen off.. yet

Anyway.. I'm now contemplating a chopper build from scratch.
Not sure if I should:
A/ Stick with the 130 MIG, which coped with 25mm dia 2-3mm wall tube fine.
B/ Flog it on and upgrade to a better MIG - Clarke or otherwise
C/ Keep the 130 MIG and buy a budget TIG welder
If going for option 'C' I've spotted this MIG for sale, and was wondering if it would be a worthwhile investment? Although strong my welds did need a lot of dressing up prior to powder coating, and was hoping a TIG will give me neater results and save me work. The chopper frame would use 1-1/4 or 1-1/2" tube with 3/32 - 1/8" wall.
