The backlight on my laptop screen is playing up and the screen goes black, so bought a new 22" monitor. But it was a bit large, so this weekend i knocked together an aluminium "arm " to mount it to the wall out of the way.
It's 6082 tubing 1.75" dia and 3 ish mill thick. The first pic shows the bits ready for welding. The black bits are the pivots machined from round nylon. The arm from the wall is 2' and the other arm 1'. The last pic shows it all stuck on the wall.
The wiring is a bit rough but the connectors were too big to put through the tubing and would need hollow pivots etc. Might drill and tap the tube to fit some clips.
