Hi, can anyone tell me if it is possible to use a Clarke 120E MIG welder (240V-50/60Hz IP21 I1 16A class H - thats the info as it appears on the front panel?)
running from an auxillary 12VDC leisure battery (connected through a split charge system to the car alternator) running through to an inverter giving between 1000W (2000W peak) or 3000W (6000W peak) 230/240VAC.
This is being used to weld car body panels, so being used on low settings (1-3 of 6 available power settings)
Can I do this, or should I seek an alternative source of power???
