Treated myself to a evo200 after having a 180 for a couple of years can't quite get on with it seems so much different to the 180 whys this or is it just me
I think you will need to provide more detail as to the 'can't quite get on with it', it will allow members to hopefully identify the exact reason you are noticing such a difference.
With the 180 on auto setting for 2.5mm and -3 on arc length was spot on for what I do put these settings in the 200 and they just don't look or feel right
Not all plants tell the truth on the dials or internal spec might well be totally different. It could even have a fault
Guessing is all any could likely offer as help ask the suppliers
I find the auto settings on my 200 spot on but they are quite hot if you aren't used to them. One of our welders tried mine and said the wire feed was too fast. Once he got used to it he changed his mind and grew to love it and went straight out to get one to replace his portamig.
