After all these months, I've finally sorted the Milling machine and had a little play.
It still needs setting up some more, the head isn't perfectly perpendicular to the table, vice needs cleaning, probably new jaws, and aligning to the table and I need to get (or make) some proper Tee nuts as I'm using normal hex nuts right now which is I know is wrong but I just wanted to get going.
This was with a 5/8" 4 flute end mill at 1700RPM taking a 50 thousandths cut. After this I tried climb milling with all the same settings and it worked very well too. I've also tried steel at 550RPM with similarly pleasing results
