Hi guys,
Got a bit of experiance doing some mild steel in the past (school tables) looking to do some stainless steel furniature for my own place. my questions are :
1) ive just bought a used welder for the job (miller migmatic 220) what needs swapping to go from mild steel that its currently setup for to stainless, im assuming gun (i know i could do the liner but may want to swap to mild again) drive rollers and gas?
2) stainless gas, ive read alot about Tri mix and cant find a definitive answer, lincoln eletric tlling me its 90% helium 7.5% Argon and 2.5% Co2, this doesnt make much sense to me as they are all inert gasses, others are saying 95% Argon and 5% co2? or with some oxygen aswell? please help?
3) stainless wire, am i right in saying you have to math th wire to the grade of steel? i will be going ith 304 stainless but the closest wire i can find is 308 unless im not looking much ?
Many thanks
Ben
