Hi everyone ,I'd need some help maybe from the ones used to work on motorcycles.
I've acquired an engine on yesterday, and the seller gave me two Mikuni BST 34 vacuum operated CV carbs .
After a bit of research I've found that those carbs are usually mounted on old Yamaha R1, Kawasaki Ninja zx1100, Suzuki GSX 750 + R and RR ,but those I got must most likely belong from either a BMW 650 or an Aprilia Pegaso 650 .
So the main problem with those are
The missing choke valve and I don't know how those are feed .
I'm posting pictures from the net because are better than the ones I've made myself (later I'll try to clean them up and make better ones)
here's a picture without bouls and vacuum chamber.
There's a pipe on one and not on the other , I've seen that some do have it on both and others not ,I'm concerned about it , having never worked on those kind of carbs I don't know even what this tube does .
Here's how they should be connected together
I can't understand why 2 lines .
If it's just a vent or a return line or what.
I'm pretty confident the lowest hose is a fuel line because it enters into the bowl .
About tuning I've understood that it has an idle jet just after and below the butterfly valve.
And the high jet has to be tuned by swapping jets and adjusting the needle position in ghilotine valve
