Anybody ever had a problem with their Migmaker making a loud "pop"? its done it twice now, it still welds fine, and did the "pop" during a weld, there was nothing running in the workshop aside from the mig.
I thought maybe the capacitors had given in, but theres no external damage i can see. Ive measured the voltage across the caps ,when you use the torch to fire up the transformer, its reaches 40 volts across the capacitors, then takes around 7 secs to discharge to zero. This all measured off load and no welding taking place.Theres no obvious damage, leaks, burning etc, no smell.
Any ideas ? ta lads
