hi.
I posted a thing a bit back about which mig welder to get but have come up with other issues since.
Basically the project i'm undertaking is that i'm converting an old hatchback to be mid engined and rear wheel drive, so for this i'm going to need to weld in a new subframe and all that.
Thought i'd done my research and found the equipment i need to buy, but i've been told that mig welding might not be suitable and should look at tig welding.
Was just wondering if this was right or if mig welding might work as it's considerably more budget friendly?
I'm not planning for the car to be road legal if it makes any difference, its more for the project rather than anything.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
