Could well be I've seen paint curdle before when incompatible things have been addedmy guess. incompatible tints from 2 different schemes

If that is the case the 2k would have flashed off before the Base coat tinters trapping solvents in the paint leaving it soft, hence it not polishingG3 will struggle to take 1500 swirls out to be fair. 3000 G6 G3 or G3 G10 would be better. This being said, I am even more convinced someone mixed DG and solid base coat tinters
I have attempted to save one of the panels, by flatting 800 / 1000 / 1200 / 1500 then G3 but try as I might, I can't get a polished surface. The mop heads are leaving circular scratches although I have tried two different new ones. Could it be that the faulty paint is not properly hardening? It has been over a week now since painting.
It's not microblistered actually. It was something in the paint that hadn't dissolved. Flatting back gives an apparently good surface to repaint. I really don't want to have to start all over again with these panels!
Spots have all gone after flatting, it looks fine, which is why I tried polishing. I suppose being a nicely flatted surface, it should give a nice topcoat with the new paint, so hopefully, I can send the panels out with a "gun" finish.
