Has anyone got or used the metradial dial for a Harrison M300 with the 4 TPI leadscrew?
Do they work well?
My m300 is imperial and I only really ever do metric threads so have to leave half nuts engaged and reverse the lathe which is ok but I would prefer to be able to release them
I've only just seen and read up on the Metradial and from what I read it enables you to use the metradial half nuts and 3 setting inbuilt gearbox and pinion gears (14T/16T/20T) to engage and disengage half nuts on any thread whether metric or imperial ?
These is currently one on eBay but it only has the 16T pinion gear so is pretty useless without the rest I guess as I have no means or knowledge of making a 14t and 20t pinion gear for it?
My other option is swapping all my imperial leadscrew half nuts and gearbox gear and thread dial for metric items as I'm having a bid on another Harrison m300 this week that is for spares or repair
A set up for metric threading using a dial will finish my lathe off as the perfect machine for me
Thanks
