nah that isn't going to happen as I'm not sure at the moment how much ill need to remove so it will be a case of take a bit off - nope take a bit more off etc, the mk2 golf I'm building is having 4wd and a later engine so its all got to be fabricated up from scratch on the car.
As others have said, when different blades or discs for what they're originally intended for then be sure the machine doesn't exceed the max rpm for the disc, a common one for this is when some guys fit worn down 9" grinding discs onto 4.5" and 5" grinders as they have the same centre, wrong!
the safe rpm on a 9" disc is far lower than that of a 4.5 or 5"..
like I've already said i will need to take it off bit by bit several times to make sure its bob on, I'm not going backwards and forwards many times for the mock up
