Like to know where you get a flypress for the £20 budget the OP set... :-p
Where do you get the square and scriber from?
Dare we ask what that lot cost? Bet it was just a touch over £20.Flypress, Use it virtually every day. It helps to have a fair bit of tooling for it...
Just seems to work by eyeballing the scribe squareness to the work piece. Like using dividers I guess, they just find their way. It's probably not micrometer accurate, but I'd guess my centre punch positioning results in more inaccuracy than the scribe. I use it to mark drill holes on plates and ERW mostly. How does the scribe work if there is only one roller to roll against the material. How do you stop the line wondering as the scribe is rolling due to not being able to hold the scribe 90 to the material or do you use in conjunction with a square?
Glad I'm not the only one.I tend to misuse my cheap vernier as an edge scribe in the same fashion

Damned right I would!Like to know where you get a flypress for the £20 budget the OP set... :-p
Not sure you can get a properly decent one for 20 quid though.
Plus, you need two really - there's always an imperial nut when you've only got a metric adjustable
