I am in the market for a metal cutting bandsaw and am currently looking at the AxminsterMB115 or the CMB115. The first one is a traditional type with a fixed saw head and a vice that swivels for angled cuts whereas the second type has a fixed vice and the actual saw swivels. I did own the first type MB115 some years ago and can't recall any problems and also owned a smaller version of the CMB but it arrived leaking oil and it ate its own worm gear so got sent back but that might have just been that particular saw. I think the MB115 can also be used as avertical bandsaw for cutting sheet etc aswell. I would appreciate the experiences of other people to help me make up my mind, just like you did last week with the new welder. Cheers Andy.
