If I can make a decision on equipment, I'm about to restore a VW bus.
Apart from an ashtray at school, I've got no metalwork experience.
Anyway, my welder dilemma's on another thread, but i've just discovered the world of steel cutting equipment choice.
It looks like i want a nibbler, a saw and an angle grinder.
For electric ones I could easily spend 4-500 quid.
And for air, 150 ish. Plus a compressor.
Not sure what compressor I'd need, but it does need to be moved from my flat to the job (in the car park). Unless I can get 50 foot of airline.
Unless I go second hand, the electric option puts me in plasma cutter territory. And so does air, for that matter.
Plasma would be good from a noise point of view. I've got 40 neighbours to annoy.
Your input, please!
