Although my Lorch control panel seems to have worn out pretty quick. (plastic button's have split around the edges)
Hi Rich,
That's very strange. Those are the same Potentiometer covers that are used on a lot of our machines and I have never seen that before.
I want to get that rectified for you as that's definitely not normal. Are you able to cope without the machine for a few days if I get it collected and bought back to me while I get the pot swapped over?
Or alternatively I could get you a new one sent to you, if you wouldn't mind swapping it yourself?
and thats why i would buy the lorch

as in how long as this will be the sort of use mine will get
thanks
I've had the welder around 9 months I think and just noticed it.
However, I really need to take a picture as the way i've put it, it sounds a lot worse than it is. Matt said its an isolated issue and is willing to fix it.
I wouldn't in any way let it influence your decision, they are MUCH better built than the lincoln stuff i've had (2 machines before this)
thanks for the feedback, some one said to me that the lincoln was a better machine as they used to supply british steel with all there welders however to be honest i feel as thought he qaulity of the lorch is much better than the lincoln in terms of finish.
would i be right in thinking that the lorch is by far and away the better machine is there much in it?
many thanks
phil
