Hi all,
I'm starting to build a long table to hold my chop saw. It will be used to cut down 6m lengths of aluminium. My idea is to have the top of the saw table level with the top of the bench, so I can just place the sections on the table and not have to worry about supporting it along it's length.
In total the bench will be about 9m long, a metre high, and 0.3m deep.
I'm looking for the easiest (read cheapest) way of making this. I was looking to use equal angle mild steel, make 2 rectangles for top and the bottom, then weld the legs inside.
Does anyone have any recommendations on thickness of steel?
Thanks
Chris
