What does the part which has stripped look like, is there access from the underside to allow for a stepped insert? Are any secondhand parts available? Could it be filled with weld and re-machined?
Edited as the eBay ones I have seen don't look to have enough metal there for an insert to go in.
It's a bit of an odd shape in that at the top of the threaded part it's about a 3mm wall thickness, but the bottom 50% is in the main body of the clamp. So answers to your questions in order. No. Yes but they're in a similar state apparently. Yes but I'm not sure what sort of alloy it's made from so a machined plug would probably be a better job.
