I've a habit of completely disassembling my Tig set up each time as I have very little space so all the leads etc get hung up etc.. I'm amazed that when I reconnect up how often I find a little gas leak somewhere or other even though everything's tight etc..
My mentor Richard gave me some of that leak detector and I now use it every time I set up .. it's invaluable.. I suffered for months with a gas leak which brought me close to me binning it all so now at least I'm fully aware of just how vital gas coverage is... it's a good lesson for anyone starting out, especially if like me space is tight and you gear is always on the move..
