How does that work? The top pic at least seems have a parallel shafts and not a morse taper.For powered threading another option is a Coventry Die Head.
I do happen to have a Coventry Die and Tap Head surplus to requirements but I'm guessing they are a bit big for your lathe.

Yes that's correct they fit in the parallel bore of the turret of a Capstan Lathe cut miles of thread using those, a hell of a lot quick than single point threading. Interesting picture of the large tapping version never seen one of those in the flesh.They are predominantly used on capstan lathes and the turret has parallel holes.
They are easy to make....don't need anything fancy.Im not sure id get the full use out of something like this, but an interesting project to make

I dont but it's an hours job and ready for that time you need it.Agreed, but if I spent time and effort making one of these it wouldn't get a lot of use as I don't do a lot of threading and tapping........................at the moment
