Not sure if this is the right place but I got a great deal on the latest Miller 259485 Vintage Roadster Digital Elite Welding Helmet, the Rolls Royce of helmets £210 These are £240 - 360 anywhere else
Me & Chevy2 are buying one each but to get this deal I have to buy 4 or more so if anyone is interested let me know.

What is the difference compared to a cheap helmet?
lots!, comfortable, durable, great optics, good ergonomics and maybe the knowledge that you are using top quality gear.
At that price I would snap one up if I did not have a funky head bucket already.

In with Chunko on this one I went from a £20 eBay special to a 3m speedglass, a good lid dose really make all the difference, so if anyone's looking for a new lid this could be your time to buy.

As i was doing a cage there was quite a few obstuctions in the field of site,
I could see the weldpool but it was not there for the sensors and a couple of times it didn't immediately darken.

All the delay does is controls the amount of time before the lens lightens after the weld has finished,
The x-mode picks up on the electromagnetic airborn arc, so as soon as the arc strikes the helmet darkens even if the sensors are obstructed,
thats why i'm buying one of these...

Ummm not quite.
The idea behind it is say your doing very low amp Tig (under 10amps) rather than depending on the light to shut off the filter which a lot of lids won't do with such low amp work, this one will even with an obstruction to the sensers. I think it's an awesome feature.
