My 110 has been sat for years, and im finally making progress on it.
The front breaks are not good. The pistons have had it. They are all rusted up where theyve been exposed.
But...
It actually had new pads on before being parked up, so the piston still had a good bit of travel. Why is this relevant?
Because ive now removed the pads, and pushed out the pistons (not fully, just to have a look) and theyre all shiny where theyve been covered.
So, what do i do?
What i mean is, its not like the body of the calliper is all corroded also. The system otherwise works, and has not lost fluid at all.
I was all set to just buy new, complete, calipers, but ill end up with britpart, vs the lockhead that i have currently. Would a rebuild work out better.
Im not really bothered by the cost, but we are talking £15 to £25 for a set of pistons and seals, vs £120 for a set of britpart calipers.
