Got the fitness itch again. What do we think of making a power rack (Random pic off google) from scaffold tube and Kee clamps? Plus sides are it's much cheaper than buying one, it can be the exact size I want and if I've got no room for it when I move out of this house in a couple of years it breaks down nice and small (Could even get rid of the tubes and just keep a bucket of clamps). I like it being round tubes rather than square too, lends itself well to chin ups/dips/etc.
Only thing is I don't know how strong it is. If it had rails across the sides attached with the sliding tee type pieces they'll be adjustable with an allen key and I don't doubt they'll support a static weight but if I drop a heavy bar on it (Won't be more than 100kg any time soon mind), obviously I don't want to get killed. I'll try to draw something to explain myself better if that doesn't make sense.
Or should I just get a gym membership, it's *only* 80 pence a day (When you sign up for a year)!
