So I got my first tig welder from the very nice people at R Tech, had it a week before I got chance to set it up. I thought I would start on aluminium just because that's why I wanted to get one in the first place.
took me a few go's to get the bead size right and it's as I thought just like lead burning(welding) except the foot control took a bit of getting used to and feeding the filler is awkward with tig gloves on, I can lead burn with a very thin glove or nothing on my filler hand. anyway I was very happy with my progress and that's the main thing.
