One of my other hobbies is drifting.
And in drifting, steering lock is the holy grail.
On alot of Jap stuff, lock is fairly easy to get and off the shelf parts are easy to get but I drive a BMW E36 M3 and these are not great for lock and off the shelf parts aren't available.
So we have to make or mod our own stuff.
What I'm wanting to do is shorten the distance of the track rod end to the centre of the hub so that I can get more lock.
Like this.
Basically the idea is to take 20mm out.
I'd just like to know the best way to prep the joint.
I'm thinking a J on both sides or maybe a V??
