Been considering trying to sell my TecArc 251 AC/DC Tig and getting an inverter based one again for space reasons more than anything else.
Have been to my local guy and I can get a Jasic 200P AC/DC Digital or a Thermal Arc 202 AC/DC for around about the same cost, thermal arc about £80 dearer.
The thing about the Jasic is it has a 5 year warranty, the Thermal Arc has only a 2 year warranty. Thermal Arc seem to have a good name but then again my local guy says he has sold a fair few Jasic and none have come back for repair, said the same about the Thermal Arc to be fair, unlike some of the other brands they have sold.
I had a Parweld a few years back and it was nice but it only lasted about 2 or 3 years before things started packing up one by one, hence my decision at the time to go with the transformer based TecArc as I reckoned its lifespan should be much greater.
Not had a real chance to study the specs but from initial looks they seem kind of similar.
Anyone have experience of either? If so what are your thoughts?
