im making a turntable shelf bracket out of 30 x30mm, 2.5 mm steel box section.
Basically 2 square frames with mitred corners, I've welded the mitres together and wanted a smooth finish so I've grinded the welds down so they are flush so it looks like a square frame made out of steel box section.
How will it affect the overall strength of the frame? I'm using a guys smartmig 162.
The welds look very rough lots of deposits on them? I'm using flux core 0.9 wire.
They look OK after grinding down but rough if not!
