Canada dry and ice? What do you do with ethanol/water/petro (small amount) contaminated stuff ?
When Ethanol fuel or Gas as we call it first appeared, the ultralight aircraft people started doing the water separation
trick.

Ethanol free gas has become avail everywhere now, but it's pricey:
Pure-gas.org - ethanol-free gasoline in the U.S. and Canada
Pure-gas.org is the definitive web site listing stations that sell pure gasoline in the U.S. and Canada.www.pure-gas.orgWhat is ethanol free gas and why is ethanol bad for your small engine outdoor power equipment?
Ethanol fuel, a gas additive, is everywhere! Nowadays, the gas you pump from almost every gas station contains a blend of gasoline and ethanol. The percentage of ethanol blend is indicated by the E number. For example E10 means the gas mixture contains 90% gas and 10% ethanol. In automobiles...www.husqvarna.com
It's not just how long it last's sitting, it's also how it attacks various engine components as well as performance.shell super seems to sit in the kitcar ok over winter... never noticed any problems starting
That's progress for you........It's not just how long it last's sitting, it's also how it attacks various engine components as well as performance.
The ultralight airplane people are running 2 stroke engines at 100% for take off & climb, and then 75% for the duration
of the flight.
ethanol causes problems in this environment more so than just fuel degradation from storage.
It's known as "Obama Gas" around these parts.....That's progress for you........
Talking to the Stihl dealer a couple of yrs ago, Stihl had run saws with e5/e10 fuel along side an Alkylate fuel like Aspen. The 'e' rated fuel was 'boiling' from the engine vibration causing premature wear and pitting in the carbs.Im quite happy running e5/e10 in my saws. They are basic 2T engines that will be happy with anything that burns.
I do use decent oil tho, Jaso-FD rated sythetic.
One of my cars is starting to give a bit of bother firing up now, the bit of super unleaded fuel in the tank has been there since 2020 and it needs half open throttle to get it to start
I dont think a couple of months will give too much bother if you top it up with fresh fuel when you use it?
Suppose it’s cheaper to separate it out but is the hassle worth it? It’ll still go off whether it’s got ethanol in it or not, although I appreciate it’ll not absorb moisture if it’s had it’s ethanol removed.
Ditto here. I use the marine version as it's supposed to be better, but who knows. What about stabil https://www.sta-bil.co.uk/ I use this now in everything which I use jerry cans for, goodness knows how much help it is doing but I dont have any issues, not high value cars or anything, but still items I need to start when asked.
Bull sht is the only thing any dealers know. I'd suggest he'd like to sell more AspenTalking to the Stihl dealer a couple of yrs ago, Stihl had run saws with e5/e10 fuel along side an Alkylate fuel like Aspen.
