I need to renew the gas delivery piping in my house, which runs from the front (cellar) of the house to the back where it feeds the gas boiler and cooker. It's old steel conduit and it has started to leak - only a small amount, but enough to be a concern. My question is - can I cut a channel in the plaster and brickwork and bury/embed the copper pipe in the wall, or should I mount it on the surface. Are there any regulations or codes of practice that affects this?
