Hi folks,
Looking for some advice. I'm installing a wood burner in my garage, I'm just looking for some info on the route for the flue.
I was going to have a vertical piece around 1meter high then a 30 degree bend out the garage wall (breeze block) the hole is already there & is large as it was used for an extraction fan at one point. Then another vertical piece to finish.
A mate has suggested we just core a new hole in wall for the 5" flue and run the flue straight out the back through the wall then a 90 degree bend to vertical. Is there any advantage to either of these?
I am favouring my idea as I have some 5" Vitreous flue already. If I go with my mates idea wouldn't I need to use twin walled flue as it's going to be low down and close to the breeze block where it goes through the wall?
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks
