Hi to all.
Out of curiosity, as always:
what is the importance of the OCV (open circuit voltage) value in a Dc inverter mma (smaw) welder?
Does an higher voltage help when arcing up? When welding the arc voltage should be around 25volts anyway.
I was looking to this machine, and it has only 48 volts ocv (tensione a vuoto).

Thanks to all for the answers.
