After dropping out of the rat race just over a year ago I moved on to a brand new Widebeam canal boat.... I also wanted to make things to complement it so here's the first one I've nearly finished...
I wanted my chimney to be different, and as I hadn't ever seen a square one... I decided to make one
I started out by making the 'roof collar' (as I hate the off the shelf cast iron ones!!) then the chimney is 6" square at the bottom, tapering to 5" at the top with a 10degree 'lean' to compensate for the arched roof... More like I didn't want it like others which come off at the roof angle - a la nextdoors chimney!!
So here's the nearly finished one... with a second project in the back of the picture of my bespoke Rutland wind turbine pole....
