So I have 6 Riland flux core 110e's that were given to me that were warranty returns. The wire feeds are broken and it is the way they were made And cannot be repaired I want to put a stick welder electrode on and use it as a stick welder. I saw one that grips the rod with a twist of the handle. are these types good or any recommendations..
I have not been able to find a manual online for the Riland flux core 110e , although I have found a manual for a Riland flux core 135e. I also have read the description online for the 110e. The 110e goes from 30 - 90 amps and automatically adjust the wire feed. so I was thinking i will just unplug the wire feed motor. The 135e manual says the same as the above, though the amperage is slightly higher. will the 110e make a, well moderate stick welder?
what type of rods should I get for a beginner?
I have a HFT flux core 90amp. can i use the auto darken welding helmet i use with the HFT welder with the 110e if i convert it to a stick welder, would this be an arc welder and a bigger brighter arc?
