Can anyone suggest a camera system where you can still use manual focus properly?
I have had various Canon and Nikon DSLRs and bridge cameras but none fit the bill.
With my lovely old Canon 35mm gear and my Pentax 6x7 manual focus was awesome as with all older cameras.
I tend to take a lot of aircraft or sports photos. Even with a very long lens you tend to be at infinity all the time so why bother to focus at all? Often you are taking a photo of a grey aircraft against a grey sky - autofocus really struggles and you lose the shot. For some reason modern lenses go beyond infinity and they force you to focus all the time.
I would love to find a camera system that won't totally break the bank that fits the bill. I have pretty much given up on expensive cameras because of this.
I love the convenience of digital but this is a major drawback for me.
